Terms of Service
The rules that govern your use of MolPilot — plans and billing, credits and fair use, your data, and what the platform can and cannot be used for.
Last revised on October 5th, 2026
1.Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and MolPilot, Inc. (“MolPilot”, “we”, or “us”) governing your access to and use of the molpilot.biobit.top website and all tools, studios, APIs and related services we make available through it (together, the “Services”).
By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or otherwise using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, available at https://molpilot.biobit.top/privacy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the Services.
If you use the Services on behalf of an organization (such as a university, company, or research institute), you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, in which case “you” refers to that organization.
2.Description of the Services
MolPilot is a browser-based computational platform for protein science and drug discovery research. It offers 80+ tools across protein structure prediction, de novo protein design, antibody engineering, molecular docking, cheminformatics, molecular dynamics and drug–target screening.
Browser tools — models and utilities that execute directly in your web browser using WebAssembly and WebGPU. They cost zero credits and, where technically possible, your input data stays locally in your browser session.
Cloud jobs — heavier compute jobs (for example GPU-bound structure prediction or design runs) that are queued and executed on our cloud infrastructure and consume credits based on the tool and settings you select.
Studios and pipelines — guided workspaces that chain multiple tools into end-to-end workflows.
We may add, change, improve, or discontinue individual tools or features of the Services over time. Material reductions to a paid plan's core functionality will be communicated in advance as described in Section 11.
3.Accounts
Some features of the Services require a registered account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and to keep it up to date.
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if higher, to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
You may not share a single account between multiple people. Team plans include shared workspaces that are the supported way to collaborate.
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, as described in Section 10.
4.Plans, Subscriptions & Billing
The Services are offered on a subscription basis with a free tier and paid plans. Current plan tiers, prices, included credits and feature limits are published on our Pricing page, which forms part of these Terms.
Explorer (Free) — includes a monthly allocation of free credits, browser tools at zero credits, and community support.
Pro and Team (Paid subscriptions) — billed on a monthly or annual cycle, auto-renewing until cancelled.
Enterprise — custom agreements covering dedicated capacity, security review, and onboarding; the negotiated enterprise order form prevails over these Terms where the two conflict.
Academic discount — a verified academic discount is available on annual plans, as described on the Pricing page.
Payments are processed by our merchant of record and its payment service providers. By purchasing a plan you authorize us (through our merchant of record) to charge the fees to your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices are displayed in USD; taxes and duties are calculated and charged where applicable.
You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan benefits remain active until the end of the paid period. Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, available at our Refund Policy page, which forms part of these Terms.
5.Credits & Fair Use
Cloud jobs consume credits. Every job displays its exact credit cost before you run it, and browser tools always cost zero credits.
Automatic refunds for failed jobs — if a cloud job fails or times out for reasons within our control, its credits are automatically returned to your balance.
Credit packs — you may purchase additional credits at the rates shown on the Pricing page. Credits purchased on paid plans do not expire while your subscription remains active.
Plan credits — the monthly credit allocation of a subscription plan resets each billing cycle and does not roll over unless stated otherwise on the Pricing page.
Credits are a prepaid right to use compute capacity. They are not money, have no cash value outside the Services, are non-transferable, and may not be resold or exchanged. We may adjust the credit cost of individual tools (for example when underlying model or infrastructure costs change); such adjustments never apply retroactively to jobs already run.
The Services are offered with fair-use limits to protect quality of service for all users. Systematic automated abuse of the free tier, credential sharing to multiply free allocations, or attempts to bypass queue limits may result in throttling, suspension of cloud jobs, or account termination.
6.Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services to:
violate any applicable law or regulation, including export-control and sanctions laws;
design, screen, or optimize molecules, proteins, or biological systems with the intent to cause harm, including weapons, toxins, or controlled substances;
infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others, including submitting data you have no right to process;
interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services, including probing or scanning for vulnerabilities without authorization, or circumventing rate limits and security controls;
resell, sublicense, or provide the Services to third parties as a hosted service without a written agreement with us;
misrepresent the origin of scientific results produced with the Services, or remove attribution required by the underlying model licenses cited on each tool page.
We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to review content and usage for compliance, and to remove or restrict access to material or usage patterns that violate these Terms.
7.Your Data
You retain all rights to the scientific data you submit to the Services (sequences, structures, molecules, libraries) and to the results you generate (“Customer Data”). We claim no ownership of Customer Data.
You grant us a limited, revocable license to process Customer Data solely to operate the Services you request (for example, executing a cloud job you submit or a batch you queue).
Browser tools that run entirely client-side do not transmit your inputs to our servers where technically possible; job inputs for cloud jobs are retained only as long as needed to deliver results and as described in the Privacy Policy.
You may export your results (for example as CSV, PDB, or JSON files) at any time from the studios. Deleting a project or your account removes the associated Customer Data from active systems, subject to backups expiring on their normal schedule.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any data you upload, including for sequences or compounds subject to confidentiality obligations or material transfer agreements.
8.Intellectual Property
The Services, including the MolPilot website, studios, pipelines, documentation, and design, are owned by MolPilot, Inc. and its licensors, and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Many of the underlying scientific models are released by their authors under open licenses or academic licenses. Where a model requires attribution, the citation is shown on the corresponding tool page and in exported results. You are responsible for complying with the terms of the underlying model licenses for any results you publish or commercialize; commercial-use rights may require a Team or Enterprise plan where the model license demands it.
“MolPilot” and the MolPilot logo are trademarks of MolPilot, Inc. No license or right is granted to use them without our prior written consent, except to refer to the Services accurately (for example in a publication or citation).
9.Research Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Scientific disclaimer
The Services are provided for research and educational purposes. Computational predictions — including structure predictions, binding estimates, toxicity and property predictions, and rankings — are model outputs that can be inaccurate and must be experimentally validated before relying on them. The Services are not a medical device, do not provide medical, diagnostic, clinical, or regulatory advice, and must not be used as the sole basis for decisions affecting human or animal health, safety, or the environment.
Availability
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we target high availability (and Enterprise plans may include a contractual SLA), we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and maintenance, model updates, or force majeure events may temporarily degrade the Services.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data (including experimental data or research time), or business interruption arising from your use of the Services. Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD 100). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
10.Termination & Suspension
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. If you delete your account, a prorated refund is not provided for the remainder of a billing period except as stated in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if: (a) you materially breach these Terms (including the acceptable use rules in Section 6); (b) we are legally required to do so; or (c) we discontinue the Services entirely (see Section 11). Where practicable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to cure a breach that is curable, and, upon termination for cause on your side, no refund of fees is owed. Upon any termination we will, where practicable, make your Customer Data available for export for a reasonable period.
11.Changes to the Services and to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its revision date. If a change is material and adverse to existing paid subscribers, we will notify you (for example by email or in-product notice) at least fourteen (14) days before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you may cancel as described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
If we decide to discontinue the Services entirely, we will give paid subscribers at least sixty (60) days' notice and provide prorated refunds for unused subscription time and unused purchased credits.
12.General
Entire agreement — these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Refund & Cancellation Policy, the Pricing page, and any enterprise order form, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
Severability — if any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force and effect.
No waiver — our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
Assignment — you may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to you.
Disputes — the laws of the operator's principal place of business govern these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here deprives consumers of mandatory protections of their country of residence.
13.Contact Us
Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected] or by using the contact link in the website footer. We aim to respond to support inquiries within two business days.
